Global Game Jam 2012
Everything is possible in a game jam. At least a really quick and very dirty game prototype. This is the story of 5 people, 48 hours, 99 red-bull and 1 crazy game concept.
In 2012, Volker, Pablo, Siethu, Bolivar and Guido participated in the Global Game Jam in Cologne. Not really surprisingly we formed one team to create a game. At first we struggled a lot with the topic called “Ouroboros”. Not as a lack of creativity but the other way around. Four designers with seven different ideas. In a cycle of idea creation and evaluation we combined the concept (ouroborus = infinity/repeating) with the a gameplay based on the idea of entropy.
In the first night we were still in the concept phase but with a nice dossier we could speed up the process a lot and could present a level at the end.

The Tale of Archy
Archy is an old alchemist which, after years of work, managed to finally find the Philosopher’s Stone. However, owning such a powerful artifact drew the attention of all the gods from every mythology. From Anubis to Ganesha, all of them became really pissed. “How come a normal human achieve this tremendous power of the immortality? We shall not leave this situation like this. This tiny man must die”. Soon, Archy discoveres that the Gods joined forces to put an end to his life, and now he needs to find a solution for this problem: how to drive away the attention of the mighty Gods from him? The only solution can be the awesome, powerful, ancient artifact: “THE FRISBEE OF ANUBIS”.
